Man, I found some other video's of them live and they are seriously tight. That singer is one hell of a guitar player. Saw one vid where he finishes some fast sweeps legato because he's adjusting the mic stand with his right hand. Very talented.
In this vid they're using Orange. Any idea if they are Rockerverb's or something else? Do you have to use a pedal to get Orange's to sound like this. I've never payed through a stock Orange that can get this kind of tight metal sound.

How would you descibe the tone and feel differences of the sylosis mod versus the cali mod?
The clipping circuit differs, but is it still diode clipping? more or less diode clipping?

more modern = less mids?

Actually in that video, Josh (singer/lead guitarist) is using the JCM800 i modified for him. It's the far right amp on the stage, and it's sat on top of an Orange 4x12It looks different to a normal 800, because instead of black grill cloth on the headshell it has basket weave.
Josh did own a Thunderverb in the past, but he told me that it is so overly squishy/loose in the feel and that it's nearly un-usable unless you hit the front end with a TS to tighten it up. He sold his off, and he now has 2 modded Marshalls that i did for him... The 800 in that video and a 77 JMP which is a variation of the Killer Kali++ Mod.

I love that they use Gibsons and not ESP/LTd's. Seeing that kind of metal rocked out on SG's and a Firebird is pretty cool. I think Gibson's still make better metal guitars than any imported, EMG loaded stuff I've ever tried.
