it's become my go-to rig. If we're not playing a big stage, my Synergy rack stays home and the 20IR and a 112 is the answer. Sounds great, IR loading is a no-brainer. Honestly it's loud enough for almost any gig I play. There is nothing easier than connect 20IR to some other amp or poweramp if You need more horsepower.
I am really tempted for 20IR although I had SYN-2, SYN5050 and SYN50 which I maybe have till today if it didin't have terrible ghost note around E/F note.
I also noticed on Synergy's website they removed the 800 model. I wonder if that means an official Marshall JCM 2203/04 module might be in the works as well.
I've got the SYN20IR and a Friedman JEL20. I love the Synergy as much if not more (because of the variety) as the JEL. I've had 100 watt and 50 watt heads and playing at the home volumes I use, I can't tell a difference.Really thinking about selling what I have and going this route. I just wish the new head wasn't EL84s. Unless Dave Friedman was involved. His EL84 amps are the only high gainers I've thought sounded good.
That is one I'd definitely get. I've got the two Mesa modules waiting at home in a box right now though.I'd guess yes.. probably an 800 with "Modified" switches to make use of the extra switches they already have built in to their template. Could be pretty awesome.
Good to know. Thanks!I've got the SYN20IR and a Friedman JEL20. I love the Synergy as much if not more (because of the variety) as the JEL. I've had 100 watt and 50 watt heads and playing at the home volumes I use, I can't tell a difference.
50th Anniv amps?... Also, while they are at it.. they should release a 1 watt JMP!
How about the opposote, and getting the Friedman IR line in a rack format? If Marshall is smart, they will keep going with this and release this in pedal format like the Friedman pedal IR line. Also, while they are at it.. they should release a 1 watt JMP!
