Blue solid state tube replacements that sound decent? I'm in. Too bad the only thing Western Electric has delivered upon in the past 3 years is perpetual blue balls.

Now everyone can sell me their stash of ge 6550 I need so badly, I'll take the mullard el34 if I have to....

saw 50/each....last forever...hmmmm.....

30-50% power increase for your amp. not sure about that one....

I'd give em a shot

I do have a stash of the SS "preamp tubes" as backups/spares....they're different than actual tubes but perfectly usable IMO

Actually this tech has been around for a while. Hopefully the newer offerings are better than the old stuff. I looked into it years ago and cant remember if it was for pre or power tubes, but everything I read from actual users were the sound just wasnt there yet. Heres hoping!

I'm skeptic...anyone else?

thats the problem for products like this, id guess the majority of guitar players already have in their head its not as good as a tube without even hearing or playing one, and even if in a blindfold test they couldnt tell a difference in tone or feel.. it still wont be good

i have a couple sets of those too which i havent played in years, i should try them again. im honestly all for a reliable tube replacement if it sounds comparable, tubes honestly give me nothing but anxiety just knowing at anytime thats it for the fuckers.
