These look great.

Ibanez is going for a Charvel Govan vibe here imo.

Since they're made in Japan, it's probably going to be a high priced item, most likely in the $2-3k price range.

Nice looking guitar. I'm really liking what they are doing with the AZ line. Wish they would have left the headstock design alone, but it doesn't kill the guitar for me either.

Yeah, I know a lot of people don't like the new headstock but I think it was a good move for this model...looks alright to me. I like the regular headstock, but I believe they were really trying to separate this line from their regular stuff. A beefier neck, nut width closer to 1 5/8, a fingerboard radius just a hair over 12", and a more vintage-style term. Trying to appeal to a more mature crowd with a vintage feel. I'm definitely gonna check it out.

Cool guitar, but I have a feeling the price tag is going to make me recoil in horror.

Ibanez AZ = Ibanez trying to take a piece of the market Suhr and Anderson are appealing to

Why shouldn't they? Competition drives down costs and drive up quality. I'm all for this. It means that I might be able to afford one. lol!

Yeah I love the idea of an Ibanez made Suhr, I hope it does help prices, but doubt it will. You can see the prices already, $2k for a Prestige and $1300 for a Premium (made in Indonesia).

About the same price as a Modern.

I like the headstock. It’s a perfect hybrid of their early shape from the 1980’s roadstar model and the modern design starting with the 1987 Jem/RG’s.

At least with the Ibanez you can get discount coupons down the road and/or get them to come off the price. I'd probably go used anyways. But, I bet the Prestiges could be had for 20% off at some point...coming in around $1600. It is funny though, because they are really pricing them too high. They should be priced around $1600 to begin with. I see them dumping these in the future at high discounts due to them not moving in high numbers. That'll be a while from now though...

Looks great. Anyone know the neck specs? I looked but I could not find them.
