Good morning Everyone,
Sooo.... I've decided to Re-tube my Rebel 20 head. The stock Pre amp tubes were basic sounding at best and didn't last that long before getting "glassy" sounding and going micro-phonic. I've ordered them and will have them by next week.
What I need to know and what I see as being the biggest obstacle is the removal of the amp chassis. I see that there are four screws on the bottom of the amp head, but am I right in the other thing that the knobs have to be removed and the few chord input jack nuts.?
Is there a manual somewhere on-line that I can download with a step-by-step procedure on this? Has anyone on here that has experience doing their own bias process?
I have a decent multi-meter and feel with the right instructions I could take on this task by my self so..... any info and insight would be helpfull.
Thanks all,
DJ

If you're just changing out the pre-amp tubes, no re-biasing is necessary. If you're swapping out power tubes all you need to do is remove the chasis. There are two little adjustment pots, one for each tube type, and they're labeled. Not necessary to remove any pots, etc. As far as the what the right settings for the bias, you might want to search the forum, I know somebody had the meter settings posted a ways back. Hope this helps a little.

Here ya go...

This is for the 30 but the you'll see the same pot's on the 20 in a slightly different place....

thanks everyone for advice and yes, it is the power tubes I am replacing also....
Come Monday I will be sending out a quick E-mail to Nate and see what other insight I need.
