Hey guys,

Just wanted to share this video here. Footage from my new band's first-ever gig last month. Shot and edited by a company out in Los Angeles (Digital Iris Productions). You might have heard this song featured in Bogner's official NAMM 2015 montage video.

Hope you all enjoy it.

Here's an instagram photo of the rig I used for this gig and the Schecter NAMM party 2 days later:

Cool man. I hear some Chino in the vocals and presence. Hell I hear some Deftones in all of it. You guys really have it together for your first gig. All my band has is some bullshit demos that need to be finished.

Anyways, congrats! How'd the gig go?

Sounds great.

Wish I could get my guys together for a proper recording. Everybody's too busy. :aww:

I like the dual vocals. You guys sound really good together. Not sure if that's you singing backup or not.

Thanks. Yes, that's me on stage right in the video. The singer and I are the nucleus of the band, the songwriters.

Thank you. I live on the opposite side of the country from my singer and the rest of the guys in our band. It's not easy and it took a long time and a lot of work to pull together, but we feel it's worth it.

Thanks. Yes, there are some definite similarities in their vocals, and this particular song does have similarities to the Deftones overall sound (the washy, drop tuned chord progressions). The overall vibe of the band is much less Deftones-ish than this particular song, though. If I were to list influences on the direction the band is heading in I'd say: Jane's Addiction, U2, Smashing Pumpkins…that kind of stuff. It's energetic rock music with atmosphere and ambience. I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan, so I try to color the songs with a bit of that whenever I can.

The gigs went very well for what they were. We kind of consider them to be warm-up gigs. As for the "Having it together" aspect: Thanks. We actually only got to rehearse 4 times before these gigs. I flew out to CA, a couple weeks before, and we rehearsed twice each week. For me, it was only a matter of getting comfortable with performing the songs. I knew the parts inside and out. For the other guys, I have to give them a lot of credit in doing their homework and making it happen. A bit of a disclaimer though, the singer and I were in another band together previously, signed to Geffen/Universal, so we're not exactly the average upstart project.. although we are starting from the ground up and the past accounts for nothing but experience at this point.

Sounds really damn good! That's a nice promo vid too. Very well done.
