Mailman....yeah, I didn't like how MTV totally played Slaughter every damn waking second back in 89. But the one track I did like from Slaughter was "Real Love." Tim Kelly was good, and it was a tragic loss though.
Funny thing....I HATED all the Commercial tracks on that CD....
it was all the stuff that got no radio play...man that is a Great CD!!
Tim had a great tone on that album too....

Isn't Slaughter basically VVI without VV? I can't imagine who would buy one of those guitars in this day and age? An 80's tribute band? Steel Panther?
VV was fast but had no phrasing ability or melodic sense. Kind of mindless wanking.

Slaughter is VVI without VV. VV left and still had contract obligations and Mark Slaughter was smart enough to work out a deal with the record company to allow him to take it over. As for the guitar I sure as hell would love one if they are anything like the Jackson ones, especially if they are $699...lol. At the prices quoted though, I will pass.

They are ridiculous ...... $9,000 for the regular ones

$12,000 for the Gold anniversary

totally insane

The booth I was working in was right next to the Vinnie guitars. Totally, unbelievably, fucking gay. Sorry, that is the truth. Gayest things I have seen in just about forever. I had to listen to VVI all day, too....had to blast some brutality back at them when I was doing demos for the Tight Metal pedal. :D

He was a hack lead player IMO. Anybody ever see his intructional video? It's so bad it hurts to watch.

  I remember renting that one from the local music store back in the day when all those REH and other instructional videos were so cool...This one, not so cool.

This is more inspiring than his instructional video....

HA!....They all look so happy(gay)!! Is that Hoff (before baywatch) on the piano? hehehe!
That's Dan Hartman on piano...he died of AIDS, seriously! I think he may have had some hit tunes but the only thing I remember him for was writing the James Brown/Rocky IV tune "Living in America". BTW, thats GE Smith on bass.

"Metal tech style, speed & phrasing"
no, yes, no

+1,000,000

I never could figure out what the people who dug Vinnie Vincent were hearing in there that I wasn't hearing.

sah5150 and I stopped at the booth and talked to the maker of these guitars wife for a second and she was extremely nice so I feel bad making any negative comments, but I almost crapped myself when I saw the price. $9k...... why not make them $90k? or $900k? Totally ridiculous.
