This is more inspiring than his instructional video....

HA!....They all look so happy(gay)!! Is that Hoff (before baywatch) on the piano? hehehe!
That's Dan Hartman on piano...he died of AIDS, seriously! I think he may have had some hit tunes but the only thing I remember him for was writing the James Brown/Rocky IV tune "Living in America". BTW, thats GE Smith on bass.

Vinnie is almost 60 years old, and was known for being a good writer (and thus arranger, player etc. That was the reason Kiss became interested in the first place)
Of course he's going to have something embarrassing on his track record. That kind of music was popular when he was in his 20s. I have friends that are on par with some of the best players here that make a living from playing pop music, even if they can shred most of our faces off :)

Agreed Rian. I bought this album when it came out and for me, I thought that it was chock full of really good songs , hooks and melodies. The thing that had me scratching my head and thinking WTF were the solos. I couldnt understand how a guy could write such great melodic tunes and then play such spastic garbage that didnt compliment the tunes in any way... The album stands on its own thanks to the tunes but those solos.... yeesh...

Someone played something for me once and it was a bebop jazz track along with some intricate fingerstyle jazz and I was really impressed by it and then they told me that it was VV. Another shocker.... Apprently , the guy can play and play really well. I remember a conversation a while back with Lord Helmet( Michael Angelo) who told me that the record company told him that he had to play crazy over the top when he was in Nitro, maybe VV was told the same thing?

Who know? I still really like the songs on All Systems go...

I am not partial to V-shaped guitars, so maybe my opinion is not all that useful... But I don't see anything worth paying more than $1.000 there...

He looks like one of those wives from Goodfellas.
The only thing would of made this pic more "Classy" is if a Big Log was Floating in the Toilet!

There must be someone here is who knows his way around Photshop! (maybe add some spray on the edges for a more authentic look).

Not sure if adding shit would make a difference...

The Pin Stripe Jeans and the Boots on top of the Toilet do enough "Damage" to this photo..... :hys:

As has already been said.. who would want one? They look as cheesy as Vinnie Vincent did. He was a total hack. I love watching the lick it up video where he actually looks like one of the girls in his heels. So shitty.. I would never play that axe. When I think v's, I think gibson.. Shenker to be exact.

f0r 12 grand vinnie vincent better give a lifetime supply 0f bl0wj0bs!! I Cant think 0f 1 pers0n that w0uld pay that f0r this guitar! Maybe as a gag gift t0 my buddy if it werent s0 expensive.

i have a buddy who stopped by the booth, and asked for a brochure. the dude at the booth said they were $50.

he said in 5 years of going to namm he had never had to pay for a brochure.

They are ridiculous ...... $9,000 for the regular ones

$12,000 for the Gold anniversary

totally insane

The booth I was working in was right next to the Vinnie guitars. Totally, unbelievably, fucking gay. Sorry, that is the truth. Gayest things I have seen in just about forever. I had to listen to VVI all day, too....had to blast some brutality back at them when I was doing demos for the Tight Metal pedal. :D
ATTA BOY
thank you

Mailman....yeah, I didn't like how MTV totally played Slaughter every damn waking second back in 89. But the one track I did like from Slaughter was "Real Love." Tim Kelly was good, and it was a tragic loss though.
The Wild Life was an insane cosmic adventure of an album
Vinnie is a good chicken picker if hed slow the frick down!!!

Sounds like the dude is getting a bit desperate for money...

Wait, $9000-$12000??? Who in their right mind would spend that much on one of these? Especially when there are axes like this in the classifieds for much less. Not my thing at all. (to be honest this Jackson isn't either, but it's way nicer than those things   )

Dear god........this is one of the GAYEST videos I have seen.....

someone...please pour BLEACH IN MY EYES!!!

Sorry just used it all on mine. But the pain of the burn is far better than the pain of seeing that again.

Does anyone know what the 3rd knob would be on the single humbucker version of this guitar? Boost?
