I found this sucker sitting on Craigs List all by itself on Saturday night. It's empty, but it was only $100!

I'll have to figure out what I want in there (probably Warehouse speakers), but I'll need a new wiring harness too. Will this one work well?

Anyway, here are the pics.

Good score! I have a few of these and they are great cabs. If you can find a good used quad of old blackbacks to go in there, you won't be disappointed. Either the H30or the M25....both sound great.

Thanks. I have 3 others that are original with greenbacks in them and I love them. For this one, I was thinking something different, because when my band starts playing, I can probably only use one cab and the CCV is bone crushing. Don't want to kill my poor Greenbacks!

I know Mark Cameron had Celestion G12-65's in his personal cab, so that's what I'm thinking too.

Scumback has their version of the blackbacks, I bet they are awesome. You can get them in 25/30, 65, or 100Watt versions. That is what I would try personally. :)

I have a pair of WGS ET-65's, they are nice speakers. I like the WGS Green Berets too.

I guess I should mention that I want to keep with the semi-bargain theme and Scumbacks are pretty expensive.

I just got 2 ET-65's and they are loaded in a Marshall with 2 Veteran 30's (all WGS speakers) in an X pattern and I am digging it so far (but using with a 5150 since Mark hates Vintage 30's with CCV's). People describe the ET-65's as dark and I love dark so may go for a quad in this cab.

I got a Blackback angle small check grill, i got my eye on the same type only a bottom cab, hope to have it soon.

Awesome cab for an awesome price. I love old, beat-up Marshall cabs. Do you know what year this is? And/or if the back is ply?

Hey Pete,

I doubt the rear panel is ply. I think it's a late 70's cab because the input jack is near the top of the cabinet like they are on the newer ones. All 3 of my others have jacks near the bottom of the cab.

I have heard of people reversing or flipping the back of the cab before so the jacks on top, the wiring harness should be red & black wires if it's original.
