Just when I thought I was all set to buy a cabinet I read a post about how all the new cabs are made in Germany. So should I buy an older cab or are the new ones worth waiting for?

thanks,

brian

The new cabs are superior to anything I have are played in my life. Diezel amps and the new new Made in Dillingen cabs combined are pure awesomeness  Absolutely worth waiting for.

I just sold my cab so I need to know when will the new cabs be available?

Joey, these are already available for a few months now. (i.e. made in Dillingen, except if Jaymz is not talking about the very new cabs with the very new speakers :) )....

hmmmm I'd like the "VERY NEW CABS" :D

so, who has that info?

price and availability....

Yeah - let's get some price/availability info. I am probably moving to Germany in about a year. I need to know if I can get one now or wait... Of course I just convinced myself I am going to get a Suhr guitar so I probably should hold off on the cab anyway...

thanks,

brian

ALso, how does Suhr work - do you have to find a dealer or can you work directly with Suhr on a custom guitar (i.e. like Carvin)? I wish they had a customizer toolo like Carvin does so you can see exactly how it wil look with all chosen options.

thanks,

brian

There's a Suhr forum, here at rig-talk.com. Just ask Mr. John Suhr. I am sure you can work directly with them.

I will be ordering my cab next week when Diezel crew is back from NAMM. You, Joey and Scott are trying to take my "final" choices down to the ashes :) Scott might check-in for the new ones. I read the praise only - no details.

The new cabs are unlike any other cabinet in the world....in construction and sound. They are available VERY soon. I am taking orders on them now and should have them soon. We are needing to know just how many to make on this initial run so that everybody can get what they want/need and not have to wait for round two.

 I'll never get my cab replaced... Whenever I am confident - Ok let's do it - something like this happens....

Samples, vids, a bit more info?

What are the speakers inside?
I'll be using the cab for recording purposes mainly.

I would suggest a front loaded g12k100 or a rear loaded hemp. I assure you no disappointments.

I already wrote to Peter S. on 4x12" V30xG12K rear loaded, cross pattern. I have to have the V30 - you know, industry standards, have some other amps (heretical doh:, but some like Mark IVs) that work good with V30 . So best of both worlds. Hope it will benefit from the "new cabs" construction. So that will be it.

Neither Peter or myself are a fan of the g12K100 in a rear loaded cab. Get the hemp cone's.

I am curious why? Peter S. mentioned slight phase issues might occur, which is my experience as well.
I currently have a rear loaded Framus 2x12" with a G12K and a V30. Records very very well, although the mentioned slight phasing is audible.
With close miking there's not a lot of difference between rear/front loaded, except that to myself rear loaded has a bit more "thump".

Never heard hemp cones, though.

They sound sick...if those were the ones I tested in Dillingen last year in the proto 2x12.
