Finally some new music from these guys... Didn't think they would ever put out another album Super stoked for this one!
Agreed! So much talent on one stage as usually I focus on the guitar players when I go to a show but when these guys play I am in total amazement watching everyone of them So much technique , and yet so much soul...a rare combination!Stood two feet from them in PDX w JDub when they played the Star Theatre. Mind blowing show on all levels
They are going to Asheville NC . Take a mini vacation for a couple days as its a cool town to check out as well.Been wanting to see these guys for years but no Atlanta shows this tour. So either Orlando, Tampa, or most likely Nashville for me. I've seen DT twice and Portnoy is a show unto himself.
I've been there and yes its a cool place. I travel a ton for work so I have hotel points out the wazoo. Florida is in my region but SC and TN are not so I might schedule some Florida jobs around an Orlando or Tampa show. If I knew which place sounded best I'd go there without hesitation. Tool in Orlando Amway sounded awful earlier this year. I can still hear Danny's kick. They are going to Asheville NC . Take a mini vacation for a couple days as its a cool town to check out as well.
I have been to the Orange Peel a few times and always a pretty good room acoustic wise .Just checked and Tampa is actually St Pete and is Jannus Live. Cool place but Gov't Mule sounded like shit when saw them there. Orlando is an old theater convert called The Plaza Live so I would expect that to sound good. Asheville is The Orange Peel which also looks promising. Nashville is Brooklyn Bowl which sounds like an echo chamber just from the name. EDIT: it's actually a bowling alley with a 1200-person music venue attached. Only in Nashvegas.
Yep, last time I saw them in Eau Claire at the state theater, Portnoy stole the show.Been wanting to see these guys for years but no Atlanta shows this tour. So either Orlando, Tampa, or most likely Nashville for me. I've seen DT twice and Portnoy is a show unto himself.
