But first, a bit a back story.

My very first real guitar was the wolfgang special pictured below. I worked a factory job living on my own to be able to afford it. I learned a lot of songs on this thing and cut my teeth on it with the music industry - it was my goto for band practices and gigs for many years:

Long story short I sold it and the guitar after it due to hardships and needing to pay the bills.

Fast forward, and I finally found my dream guitar :D :D :D :D

I wonder what's in here?

Seems to be well packed, must be important?

Packed really well actually :scared:

It's a NOS peavey case! I wonder if it has anything inside of it?

This thing is absolutely insane. It sounds and plays phenomenal. I called and had Peavey confirm the serial number to the exact color and type of guitar, as well as a confirmation that it's a real emerald green EVH wolfgang archtop.

Very little fretwear near the 1-4 frets and the frets have oxidized. It's been a case queen most of its life.

I've been wanting an emerald green wolfgang for many, many years. Probably since I was 16 years old. I've been looking all year - a solid 7 months straight - before finally coming across this one.

I'm in love - and I feel like I'm home again. Playing this thing feels like nothing else - everything my purple one was and more

Man, that neck is a thing of beauty! I've always wanted an emerald green guitar, too, and this one is stunning!! It must've been a bitch to let your first one go... that was a beautiful guitar, too, just love that color!

Congrats, man!! That thing rocks!!

Man that's awesome! What a stunning guitar and cool color!

welcome to the club !

those green ones are hard as hell to find. mine will be buried with me lol. it took forever to find, and I searched much like you did till I finally found it

Nice score, i love Wolfies!!!!

Just got a first year quilt a couple months ago, it is just amazing. Like it better better than my other two. The neck feels sooo good on it, a little less round, a bit flatter.

There is a mint green one like yours around here that a guy owns, i am trying hard to grab it, he won t let go!!!! Lol

These play so well, happy for you man.

Can you PM me pictures of your first year quilt? I've never even seen pictures of one before. There are more fake quilt tops being passed off these days than real ones - I'd be afraid to invest in one online.

Thanks for all of the kind comments! I'm extremely happy to have my dream guitar. I cannot wait to get the chance to set it up how I like, clean it up, wax it, re-string it, and play the hell out of it

Thanks for all of the kind words gents!

I love having it around. I plan to work on it this Sunday hopefully and have some quality bonding time :inlove:

Awesome!

My old number one tobacco archtop still kills almost every other guitar I try. Only my Axis beats it. PV made a very high quality instrument and they are way more versatile than people think.

Rock on!

Seeing these pictures makes me wonder why I ever got rid of the one I owned,I admit I was a dumbass but I needed the $$$..That Green with the highly figured Birdseye Maple neck !! Nice Guitar ! Don't let it go ever !

Nice!! With all of the crap in the world today, nothing makes me happier than seeing someone work hard and eventually be able to get a guitar they have always wanted. There is something so awesome about opening a case and finally getting to see it. Great score!

Congrats! Nice WG!
I had a gold Peavey Wolfgang Special that sounded friggin righteous. Wish I'd never let that thing go.
Enjoy!
