I've had this tune in my head for a while now, and since I had the afternoon to myself, I figured it was time to let it out.

I'm typically an amp gain guy, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone both with my playing and with the tools that I use. I used some UAD and STL Tones plugins for the clean guitar paired with a Wampler Mini Ego compressor, and the dirty rhythm guitars were a UAD Suhr SE100 plugin. The solo was a Fender Super-Sonic 60 head into a Suhr Reactive Load. For drive on the solo, I used a Friedman Dirty Shirley distortion and pushed the front of it with a Maxon OD808 and the Wampler Mini Ego.

Thanks guys. I worked for music stores/retailers for around 17 years...and when you're in that environment, it's really easy to go WAY down the rabbit hole as far as gear goes. I think I've spent days of my life comparing 12AX7's in different positions in amplifiers. One of my 2020 resolutions was to just stop fiddling with things as much and just crank out music....whether it's with an amp, a plugin or whatever just gets the job done. To me, there's no replacing a roaring 100w amp, but there's something to be said for getting out of your own way and just playing.

Fantastic job! More time playing; less time noodling is a good mantra.

I realize that I'm saying this right before NAMM.
