Just bought a 800KK, not sure how this one got by my radar.
It sounds great, very impressed so far.

This! Congrats! I used to put a little eq pedal in front, mid boost on top of mid boost...It hung right with the Cameron Aldrich I had at the time. Great amp!

This is my first new amp in 5 or 6 years, been doing the axefx thing.
Have been getting tired of that lately, glad I kept all my amps lol...
Through my b cab w/75's it is slayer in a box. Not just close but absolutely nailed. I love it.
Through v30's getting close to demanufacture territory.
Could use a loop or a line out, but there are ways around that.

Congrats on a great amp. I just plug straight into mine, and it gives me the grins.

One of the best marshall amps... except the deal breaker of no fx loop... what on earth was Marshall thinking when designed it, I guess only god can tell...

Awesome. Yup probably my fave Marshall as well.
The no Fx loop. :aww:
But man it crushes.

Played one of those years back and thought it sounded great! Congrats!

-i tried one, then immediately bought one, when they were new & just released, gave it the typical Marshall treatment that a life long Marshall dude does,
-VARIAC-a Marshall with out a VARIAC is like a Rottweiler that's been neutered-(WTF)-makes zero sense.
-biased that bitch as hot as the trim pots would allow,
-put the best NOS/ASNOS & used,.. PRE-AMP glass I had in my top secret tube stash in, did the roll & poll,
-GOLD LION KT88's-(NO$ 88's!!!, -ouche babe- the KT88 testing was expensive, and of course the mo$t expensive 88's won.
-SPEAKERS-well, it is a Marshall, start with GREENBACKS-then add the missing ingredients-(the big iron, with high plate voltage make the 2203KK unique, Thou the DNA, circuit design & unmistakeable-MARSHALL-MID-HONK- makes sure it will never be confused as anything but a Marshall, a welcome surprise, IT SOUNDS "UGE"!!

-Home work & testing- what bias & at what voltage sounds the best, and whats needed to take advantage of the KK's bias & voltage sweet-spot.
-Modded the bias circuit with new resistor & trim pot for more sweep & higher bias-(voltage 85, bias set HIGH!!-( i set bias by ear, if your bias is in the tube manufacturer's spec. sheet's safe zone, for that specific tube, lock and load!!

I tried one of these when they first came out. Liked it so much I converted my 2203x to Kt88's.

Always wanted to put a loop in mine. Glad I didnt. The built in gate makes it pretty silent at large volumes.

There is a Fortin modded 2203KK out there. Wish it was mine.
