Anybody play both and care to describe the differences?

I know the new loop is described as "transparent".

With any engineering choice there are tradeoffs... Just wondering how the different loops impact the tone of the BE100. :)

I have the "newest" loop and I can tell you that i hear ZERO perceivable difference between using the loop and switching it out.

Thanks!

Just trying to understand the changes... SS ->Tube -> SS. ;)

Was there something "wrong" with the Tube based loop?
If I read between the lines on some other posts it all most seems like a "licensing"/business deal issue...

Just trying to decide if a used BE with the Tube loop will be a "less desirable" version down the road....
From the Modifications page, it looks like you could have your Tube Loop updated to the current SS loop for $300? ??

Do you already own the amp or are you just considering buying it?

There is a used one that I "think" has the tube buffer. The owner hasn't answer the question...

I've played one BE and I don't know which loop it had in it and I didn't use it. Dave list's the new loop as a mod for $300...so IF this amp has the tube loop, I wouldn't rule it out but it's something I want to know going in... ;)

I've looked at several used BE's and they we're ALL different! No loop - two inputs, Loop & "simple clean", Loop and had written SN that didn't look like any of the others....

If I had the $$ I'd buy a new one.... ;)
