NGD: 2014 PDN BFR JP6 Neptune Blue

Ok so this guitar came a little bit later tonight so I couldn't get good photos and am going to show you the ones posted on Willcutt Guitars where I purchased this incredible guitar. Going to see if I can get it in the sun and take more photos tomorrow.

First off, I can say without a doubt this is the best guitar I've ever played. I had a BFR awhile back before I sold off my electric gear to try drums for a couple years. It was my favorite guitar even then,but my one gripe was the painted neck. When I got back into electric guitar I decided I wanted to try something new so I initially purchased a Suhr Modern. I played it for a couple months but always felt there was something missing...well now I know what that is.

The instant I plugged this thing in and started playing I fell in love. It brought back all the memories of my first BfR but heightened because of having a smooth-as-silk roasted maple neck. Not only did it just feel amazing, but the sound is to die for! Silky smooth and thick distortion that provides insane clarity on high gain chords and of course you can solo all day. Not only does it sound amazing at high gain, the neck pickup is incredible for cleans.

I am really happy to be back in the JP guitar world and I couldn't have picked a better version of this guitar to get re-introduced with. Enjoy the pictures!







 
It would look a lot better with an ebony board, but that finish is gorgeous. Love blue guitars! Congrats!!
 
Killer top! Beautiful guitar, enjoy. Had a JP for years, neck was just too darn slim for me, but man what a guitar.

Same here. Great flame, and beautiful color on that one. Nice to find what you're looking for. I on the other hand went from a JP6 to a Suhr Modern and had a similar experience. Enjoy!
 
Nice that you finally got one. Did you sell your Suhr or just say fuck it and buy the JP?

I was able to find a buyer on the Suhr right when I saw this one come up at Willcutt Guitars so the timing was really perfect. This is the only Neptune Blue PDN I've seen with a flame top, as the rest I've seen are quilt, so I'm glad I was able to snag it while I could. :rock:
 
nice! i LOVE how slim the necks are! pair that with the flat fretboards and it's a win win. been meaning to buy another JP that's not made of basswood.
