been on the hunt for one of these for a while and one popped up so I worked out a deal with the seller and traded him my Carvin DC727 +$$.
In beautiful condition basically mint.
This was a limited US run through Sweet water 2014 -2017, it's basically a 1527 with a mahogany body and a flamed maple top, with the prestige fret treatment (whatever that means)
It looks gorgeous in person.
Now I need to get my 7620 back from my luthier (getting a refret) and see which neck style I prefer, the old 7620 necks or the newer 1527/Prestige necks, as I don't really "need" a 7 never mind 2 of them LOL. Plays really well, I'm not sold on the PAF 7's these come with but that's an easy enough swap.

really cleaned the fret board and polished the frets on this thing. (they were filthy when it arrived)

Nice! My first 7-string was a J-custom and I haven't bought a 6-string since.

I much prefer the wider necks on the more recent Ibanez 7s. The 7620 and the old UVs have the outer strings real close to the edge of the frets. I'm probably just a sloppy player but it's too easy for me to accidentally yank one of those strings off the board during a fast run involving some type of bend or vibrato.
