Cool, now that's something different. Looks great! So, extended scale for standard tuning? You just dig the extra tension?

It was the only option for 24-frets in an LP at the time. String tension is real nice (to me) the way it's set-up. Diggin' the fret spacing on the longer/wide neck compared to the Ibanez Wizard 2's I'm used to. It's closer to my '87 Charvel Model 6.

In the current Rondo custom order, 24-fret is available in 25.5 & 24.75 scales. Considering a black flame-all black with P-90's...

I have a honey burst 3010 that I love. I switched out the PUs and it plays and sounds great ! Easily rivals my friends LP custom.. equal in weight, and feel.
Ditto!

Cool. I have yet to try any of the Agile stuff.

If you dig LPs, Id get an agile way before I paid the premium for a gibson. Ive played a few gibsons and epis (when I thought I wanted an LP and ended up buying that EC401 that I kept for 2 months lol), and I found that my buddy's agile was every bit the guitar that the gibsons and epis were. And actually, my wifes uncle has a couple of epis that are REALLY nice, too. I cant understand the prices people pay for a gibson LP these days.

Resale value, dude....a LPC is money in the bank, and you can always dump it for pretty much what you paid if you bought used.

Never gonna see that on an ESP or an Epiphone.

To the OP: HNGD man....that thing is the balls.

I guess...but I dont buy things with resale value in mind...

I agree Raf. I like to think of my purchases as keepers. Some stuff I keep no attachment to but if I take the time to spec something and put a lot of thought into it, I keep it around.

I know I got a lot of grief on my Splawn cosmetics due to resale potential but whatever. I know may will think it is butt ass ugly when it gets here but I can't wait.

I love my AL3000! GReat guitar for the money. The neck is very comfortable and that action on this guitar is superb! I put a Duncan '59 in the neck and a Duncan 59/Hybrid in the bridge. I also upgraded all the pots to CTS and re-did the wiring. This one is what they call Root Beer finish. Not the best pic but you get the idea.

Agiles are Korean.

I was tempted by the root beer flame. Very nice.

I'm a 24-fret guy. The only Gibson option was the Buckethead model - in 27" scale. No options for colour or other stuff...and the price, ooof.

The Gravity Storms are about what I expected. I get nice harmonics out of the bridge in hi-gain. Using the same amp settings as my Ibanez RG921QMF with an Evo2 in the bridge, the GS seems to have a "fizzy" overtone. I'll just programme a setting (Vypyr T60) to get the most out of the GS pups.

The neck is lower output and has a more "classic" sound to me.

I can post clips. Lemme know what you want to hear.

Word. The only time I buy something thinking about resale is when I find a great deal on something that I dont really want on CL...but then Im buying just to flip. When Im buying something for myself, ESPECIALLY a guitar...guitars, to me, are a very personal thing...I dont even consider resale value. I buy it with the intent to keep it.

Uhm... so you drop $2k or more and then you sell it for what, $1750?

Or you buy an Agiel for a 1/4 - 1/3 the price... there's the money in the bank.

HNGD!

Agiles are ok but comparing them to LP Custom is way off base.

That's like comparing and high end Rondo SX to a Suhr.

When you want a LP you buy a LP. If you want an ESP, LTD, Tokai, Eastwood, Edwards, or other knock off, you buy those.

FWIW I have seen a few Chinese knock off LPC. They are getting really close spec wise. One of my co workers ordered one for about $400 shipped. He has teh Agile 3000 series too. Liked the Chinese Gibby better. When I looked at it, it was hard to tell it wasn't a Gibby.
