In reference to another thread I made here asking some questions about this guitar, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. It's a Schecter Damnation (Gary Holt signature), and it plays very well. I don't really have much else to say other than I'm happy with it, especially for the price.

I also bought a Digitech Drop, which is pretty damn cool. If anyone hasn't heard of these yet, they detune the signal so it sounds like you've detuned the guitar (in semi-tone steps) when you actually haven't. I was expecting it to be a tonesucker, but it works just as intended. I consider this purchase to be well worth the quality of life upgrade that counters not being able to quickly change tunings on a Floyd Rose Equipped guitar.

Congrats!

I also run the Drop as my band plays in (E, Eb, and D). Sounds pretty darned good. I used to run the Morpheus Drop Tune, but the DigiTech Drop is much better tone wise IMO.

Wow nice !!! Congrats !!! Happy NGD !!! \m/

I was influenced by your positive reviews so thank you :)

I was ripping on it yesterday and I'm very happy with how it plays. My Les Paul is my favourite guitar to play right now and this thing is right up there with it. There is a neck-dive going on when playing standing though; what sort of weight did you attach to the strap?

That's nice to hear because I've never tried the Morpheus before, but just bought the Drop since I was happy with it. I used to feel somewhat annoyed having to bring multiple guitars with different tunings when playing in front of people, but this would be much easier. There's room for it on my pedal board too. It is kind of cool switching guitars and showing them off though, hah, but ultimately this is what I'll be using in the future I'm sure.

I'm glad I was helpful. I'm sure you are going to dig that guitar for many years to come :) I think it's not so easy to find it anymore in shops.

So what I did with the strap is: I bought a diver's weight. Then I cut it open and took out the metal pellets. Then put them all in a sack and sewed it onto the end of the strap (right-hand side). I am attaching some photos of it:

Another thing people do is to move the strap button on the guitar. But I didn't want to drill holes on the guitar.
