Or red, however you want to look at it.

Now just have to look into setting up the FRX (first for me). The Dirty Fingers "Plus" Pickups are interesting. A little brittle up top, so looking for a way to tame that, but so far pleased with the new addition. My husband is going to be so jealous when he finally gets home next week as black Gibsons are his thing. Mine now! :devilish:

Love black guitars; esp with a matching hs…black stain too, no poly to choke the tone away..
Congrats!
TY, RacerX! I really like satin and stain finishes. Don't know why, but feel less concerned about "thrashing" on them when they aren't some AAAAAAA Top gloss finish I have to handle with care, ya know? I totally agree that the acoustic resonance is a bit more inspiring as well.

That is a very rare guitar
I think I read something around 600, so not out of realm, but I have a few of the GOTM that were claimed at I believe 400, but haven't ever seen one numbered higher than around 250. I also just found a fridge magnet jammed in between the pickup and bottomof the cavity on this SG  might have something to do with the screechy nature I've been dealing with along with what I'm assuming are 9s when I'm use to 10s/11s. Gotta make lunch for the kiddos, but will definitely try and post some clips later. What's a good upload site? My interface is dead, so I have to use my desktop spark amp, unfortunately.

Just upload clips to Youtube and make a throwaway youtube channel. I am interested to see how you like that floyd style bridge on there

Since you mentioned the highs, I'd be interested to know how those pots actually meter vs. how they're labeled, and how the pickup height is.

However that goes, badass guitar!

I've been lazy on putting her back together. Can't walk into a room without picking up a different guitar each time or fixing an issue with a teenager. First world problems and all. There was actually a cheap flat fridge magnet stuck to the baseplate of the bridge pickup. Strange "mod." Not sure the specs on the pots, but Gibson branded. Pickup height is as horrendous as the bridge height in which I had realized earlier today that the "tail piece" inserts that the frx mounts to are sticking out a half inch and think someone may have adjusted everything on purpose to match.

The pickups are 4 wire, so I'll likely be swapping the pots, either way. Getting readouts well over 16k on both pickups, and I guess there are a number of ceramic 8s in them from what little I've read. Though adjustable poles all around for fine tuning. Haven't dived in beyond that. They make my Iommi ,Super Ds, and \m/ pickups sound compressed in comparison :ROFLMAO:. Will update after going through the paces. I bought it for a song off a young woman who shares my name, so if I have to dump time into it, it will still be worth it I'm certain. It doesn't appear complicated to setup and get running. I just have to do it ? Thanks for the kind words again, everyone! I'll let her know she's loved!
