All of my other guitars are Gibson, so I figured it was about time for something different. I've wanted a natural Bich for a long time, so when this showed up on eBay I couldn't resist. :D

I'm not a fan of the jumbo frets, but the feel is quite nice. I compared directly to a friend's custom shop Bich and I'm impressed. The Calibre isn't as good, but it's still got a great feel at about a third the cost.

I have a Warpig on the way for the bridge.

One of these things is not like the others.

Nice looking axe! I've come close to scoring one of those. How is the tuning stability and intonation?

Thanks! :) The tuning is solid. It's set up for drop D right now, but I'll have to put heavier strings on it and reset the intonation to drop it a full step. Otherwise I wouldn't mess with it.

The Bich is one axe I've always dug, but I've never played one. Using the example of a strat & lp as being opposite ends of the spectrum and a prs in the middle, where do they sit tonally and playability wise? Obviously there are more variables, but just to get an idea....

The Bich is a bit more toward a Strat in the tone department. I was surprised at how much "bite" it has even though the pups are humbuckers. It still sounds thick, though. Btw, I'm basing this on volume and tone knobs up all the way using the stock pups (neck and/or bridge).

Playability is tough to say. It has mixed characteristics. I thought it felt similar to a friend's ESP because of the jumbo frets (the Bich jumbos aren't as thick). The neck profile feels pretty close to my SG supreme (slimmer, finished neck & ebony fretboard). It's fairly light, but well balanced. It definitely won't break your back like an LP, but it isn't neck heavy like some SGs.

I hope my convoluted answers help.
