Hey guys I'm new to this forum but some of you familiar with sevenstring.org or the Caparison forum may know me. I found this site through my relationship with Diezel (I am a new dealer). This is a pretty badass place and I figured I'd introduce myself by sharing my newest guitar that Bernie Rico Jr made for me. I just received this on Saturday and I'm pretty pumped up! This is my third Vixen and the best one yet :)

It's a neck-thru design, mahogany wings, ebony fingerboard, tone pros bridge, bone nut, sperzel locking tuners, Bare Knuckle 'Holydiver' pickup (Duncan is just a placeholder), 25.5 scale, 24 frets, etc. I love it, and as you can see it's not my first. Bernie Rico Jr is really an incredible luthier and an even better person. I'm already planning my 4th one out (probably one of his superstrat designs).

Anyways, it's great being here. Cheers \m/

i'm not a fan of Vs or 7s, but that is sexy.

Fair enough. I love the extended range, tone, and feel a proper 7-string has, but I understand it's not for everyone. Thanks though :)

Welcome to the forums man....That paint job looks awesome. Love that color.

Thanks dude, sweet animated gifs there

I remember talking to Bernie Jr and Sr when they mad my Mockingbird back in 97. Good people. When Sr. passed and the BC Rich guitar compnay fell into other hands it never seemed right. In the back of my mind I've always hoped that Bernie would someday get BC Rich back. Some of the stuff he's making oday looks incredible! Nice Vee's.

Yeah man. Bernie Rico Jr actually made every BC Rich USA handmade from 1992-20001 when Bernie Sr died. That's when he formed his own custom shop after parting with BC Rich. BC Rich since then has been a disaster sadly, but it's all good because Bernie Jr is IMO the best in the business and one of the greatest people I've ever met as well. I'm proud to play his guitars and to now work with him as well.

He really can do anything too, he's pigeon-holed as a metal guitar guy but he makes incredible traditional guitars and acoustics as well. Anyways enough of my ranting, thanks for the kind words. I'd love to see pics of your Mockingbird if you still have it. I have/had many BC Rich customs as well :)

Hey there you are Nick! Welcome to Rig Talk, dude. Good bunch of guys here, you will fit in well.

Those Vixens are KILLER man, and now I can start to see why there isn't much out there that touches them.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow as fate would have it, I have one of those same exact ones kicking around too.

Again, awesome  Whats the neck wood ?

Mine looks almost exactly like your red one, except 2 pickups, 6 strings, star inlays. Mine has a couple unique things : 25" scale, and eastern hard rock maple top. Very little figure but its a denser wood for tighter, crisper tone.

Nice dude, I'd like to see yours :)

Mine has a maple neck, which paired with the Bare Knuckle I just installed provides a super tight, yet thick/aggressive tone. I'm stocked!

Sweet Vixens - Bernie makes some awesome guitars, I agree, and he's a heck of a nice guy - here's mine, in basic black with white binding -
