Congrats on the guitar!!

After seeing the recent prices on the Gibby stuff, I just bought a beater guitar so that I can use it on the away gigs!! I got one of these for $700

friend of mine has one of those, its incredible to play

One of the best bang for the buck guitars that Ive played....period!
The scary thing is that there wasn't much difference between the high end version and this one IMHO.

I loooove my LPS, especially with the factory-installed 490R/498T, believe-it-or-not

Nice guitar, not a beater at all IMHO.

I have a problem though - I tried buying cheaper gear to gig with so I can keep my 'nice' stuff nice... and I can't help but take the good stuff to the gig because I want to play it! I bought a PRS SE, gigged with it once and wanted my Cu22 so bad it drove me nuts all night.

I hate expensive guitars getting dings and stuff, but if I own it I have to play it. Was talking guitars with the local owner of the PRS dealer in town a few years ago and told him I had a quilt top cu22 semihollow.

He said "I'd like to see that, bring it by the shop sometime."

I said "come to the gig tonight, I'll be playing it." He looked like somebody pooped on his birthday cake, it was priceless.

Pete

I am sorry you can't call that a beater guitar. A beater must be under $300-400 in cost. Plus that thing is too clean to be considered a beater. Then again the gear you have is all super high end compared to what I have, so my standards may be different

For some reason your LP studio looks to be thinner than mine

Hey Brad, forgot to ask - what beater amp are you taking to the gigs? :)

Brad, where did you find the old school coil cord at?
