This is the second Burny LPC I've owned and it sounds even better than the first one did. It plays real nice, holds tune well, weighs a good 10 pounds, and sounds huge. I really like the VH-1 pickups in these things. They remind me a lot of the Gibson 500T/496R pickups, which is great. It's ridiculous how terrible my RG550 sounds compared to this thing. I don't know why I keep trying to make Ibeenhad shit sound good when it just doesn't at all.

It definitely is. It feels and looks just like a real Gibson to me and it sounds equally good.

I like the aged gold hardware. I guess it could be brass also, anyway its a cool look.

What is the neck profile on those Burny's?

Funny...I have the same love/hate relationship with Ibbys..I love the way they play but I think it's the basswood that annoys me in teh end...time to try a Mahogany one :D

I had an Edwards 'Navigator' version of that guitar...solid as fuck (9.x lbs) but for all it's weight still didn't have the tone/resonance...and in the end too heavy to play comfortably.

Pretty sure it's just standard gold hardware that's aged a bit. The necks are pretty much like the slimmer Gibson LP neck profile. I always forget if it's the 50's or 60's neck that is the slimmer one.

60's is slimmer. Same as what's used on the LP Classic.

Other than the small sized frets they are killer. Here is mine, it's from the 80s. Too good to be true for the price I bought it.

Nice guitar! The Japanese Lawsuit types are awesome. I have the Bacchus Goldtop LP standard. on the Headstock it says "live road" instead of les paul. These are starting to get expensive on ebay as well. I got it for 490$ a few years ago.

How much did you get it for? If you don't mind me asking

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts. The only Ibanez i kinda liked tonewise was the RG3120, probably because it has a Mahoganey body. Still though, lacks balls compared to a good LP style guitar.

Exactly the same for me. The only one I've ever owned that really sounded half decent was my mahogany RGA121. The mahogany J-Custom I had sounded god awful.
