Yeah I assume the previous owner got like 1500 for the plate etc so someone could finish up their pre pro just right haha

It sucks that it happens, but money talks to some people like that. I kept mine all together, at least until it was sold. Who knows what happened after that.

Just a blank chrome plate. I thought about buying a clone but that would imply it's original. Only original hardware is the input jack and plate.

In spades....it's very 'growly' like the last 84 that I traded with Sam(Braintheory)....maybe a touch brighter but it's got that complex rich tone that only a 'good wood' guitar can give you. Sounds killer and goes to the top of my small collection tone-wise. But my 08/09 sound good too...just not as good as this 84.
