This guy just came in last night. Aside from the board being dirty it could pass for mint. Unfortunately the pics from the ebay auction were really deceiving about how dirty the neck was. Looks like he may have changed the contrast or brightness bc in the auction pics the neck looks like brand new  Kind of pissed me off bc I how much I paid for it, it doesn't have the monster quilt evh's are known for but I paid 2200 bc I thought I was getting a super clean evh. I will say the guy packed it to the max! I've never seen a better shipped guitar in my life. Took me 20 mins just to get to it after I opened the case lol.

Congrats! A little naptha will take at least some of that dirt off...

so what's the deal? seems like all the guitars on the pic you uploaded are dirty just like this one? :) to be honest.. i was once selling a caparison horus with maple fretboard.. it was less dirty than yours though, but the guy buying the guitar wanted to see high-res pictures which would be taken outside in direct sunlight.. on all the pics the fretboard looked like-new :)

It's just me being picky. The red first year quilt in the background has a fairly dirty board but I got that one for such a steal it didn't matter. The seafoam green isn't really that dirty and again, got a good deal on that one. It bothers me a little bc these evh's don't typically get the higher prices unless they have a monster quilt or are extremely clean. If you check out the pics from the finished auction you can see why I thought this was really clean, especially in his 5th picture. The problem with unfinished maple, as most of us know, is if you don't clean it after every use(yes, I have ocd) the dirt soaks into the wood and you'll never get it out. Its still a nice piece but I think I may have paid a little high for it

congrats, that's very nice

how does it compare to the peaveys?

I personally like the Peavey more overall. I do like the EBMM neck more though. It's a toss up between the 2. The red first year quilt is my first time having a first year though and it smokes all the other Peavey's I've ever owned, and Ive had a lot of the wolf deluxes over the years. A lot of people say the first year quilts were different than subsequent years and I didn't believe it until I got this one. A/B'd it with my standard and a friends and it sounds/feels better.

I checked that one out on the bay a few times myself. It did look super clean and you don't see that color too often. That's a beauty. Congrats!!

Great collection...love the EBMM. One of favorite all time guitars.

Nice guitars!

I have a few Peavey Wolfgang carved tops, a '94 EBMM EVH and a EBMM Axis BFR & I love them.

I also have a Peavey HP Special carved top that can hang with any of 'em, & probably has the sweetest overall feeling neck of them all.

spit into a soft cloth rag and clean the fretboard. Has worked on my '95 Wolfgang several
times.

I have gotten to the point where i like the grime now, as long as it's mine... :)
