NGD: EBMM EVH - Pawnshop Score!!! - Updated Pictures

Every now and then everybody get's lucky or divine intervention steps in to lend a hand...today was one of those days. I was cruising my local CL last night when I stubbled upon what appeared to be a pretty awesome deal on an EBMM EVH at a pawnshop no less. Drove out there this morning and it turned out pretty well This is a 1993 model that was originally purple. It has faded quite a bit and is as dirty as they come but everything works, plays pretty well and the price was just right Teardown and scrubbing begins this evening but I was so excited that I took some pics as soon as I got home. Take a look...

I feel kinda bad for the poor soul that had to pawn one of his obviously prized posessions as it is well "loved"...

Those are great guitars. Someone may correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd swear something was changed when it became the Axis, because they never felt the same.

I've read that they had problems with the dye they used in some the earlier production runs. I had a trans black one that turned a nasty greyish green color...

Thanks guys! I think it looks cooler as well. I pulled the neck off a little while ago and you can really the dramatic change in color. I'll post some more pics later on...

I've never played an EVH, but I did own an Axis which was an awesome guitar. Clean that thing up and post some pics when you're done.
