NGD! ESP Eclipse

Here she is, and she is a wicked one. i got this from GC. $500.75 out the door.

Schaller german floyd, hipshot locking tuners, i am unsure of the pickups.

First off, this guitar is stupid heavy as far as weight goes, but it balances really nice. There are 24 frets, but its hard to get to the 24th. but i got it and set it up and hot damnnnnn. it is absoluetly brutal, bright, lots of attack and can chug or scream. I don't see the need to modify anything internally. There is literally zero to no fretwear, there some light surface scratches, i am going to buff it out later a bit, but that isn't a big deal to me.

BUT i don't like the knobs. if anybody has an idea what would look better, please share your thoughts.

This is the best $500.75 i have ever spent. i got a hell of a deal, i am glad for once that GC guys tend to be stupid AF. I don't think i will ever stumble across another of these at that price. The only problem, is that she needs a sister. so i need another one. damn gas and the OCD factor of owning more than one of anything.

That's a great deal on that guitar. Had a purple one like that years ago but unfortunately sold off all my ESP's, still struggling with doing that.

Try some dome knobs with maybe a red top. Something like this...https://www.qparts.com/index.php/knob/m ... -knob.html

I had purple abalone ones on mine like that, looked great.

That looks really great! I'm not normally a fan of singlecuts with trems, but for some reason, the flat top Eclipse just looks right with a Floyd. Congrats!

I like the look of those knobs. I think I am going to find something black and red.

It has everything right in it. Just the right cuts and reliefs are perfect for the guitar. For example I cannot stand the gibson access, this one just looks right.

That’s a killer eclipse. By FAR the best looking one I’ve seen from that Era. I normally don’t like them (bolt on/flat top eclipses), but love that one. Also love the kamikaze.
