Brand new out of the box, picked it up on my way into work today - haven't got to plug it in yet, but it's my first ESP, for guitar with EMGs (Het Set) - and the first thing outside of the EVH brand for guitars I've owned in two years.. pulled the trigger in a big way! Better review to come when I get it home and hooked up to my Mark V! But I'm excited.
 
Congrats. I dig the way those look. Nice spin on a classic design.
 
Nice! BTW, how do those compare to the LTDs? I know its not the same, but dont want to dish out the $$ for the ESP if I dont have to.

I just got the LTD version and it plays and sounds amazing.
 
Nice!! I want a black one. Id be happy with the LTD version, though. Also, the fucking HetSet is a goddamned KILLER set of pickups!!
 
To be honest, I've never played anything LTD and up until yesterday ESP - but I have 2 wolfgangs I've used for a couple years now, and wanted something totally different... it was between this and a Petrucci, and while different is still too similar to my Wolfgangs... it's huge, but actually weighs less than Wolfgang does.. plays great, but feels like cheap strings.. I'm going to throw some cobalts on it... My first guitar with active pickups, which the Het set sounds killer through my Mark V... I popped it into IIC+ mode, and scooped the mids, and spent the evening riffing on old metallica (how could I not do it!) - but it's a killer guitar... nothing I dislike about it.

This thing looks like it could be used a some sort of tourture device, and makes my wolfgangs look like little sissy girls.

I have your guitar, then. Black with the Het set. Massive low end, yet articulate sounding.

I'll have to check out the het-set EMGs at some point. I love the little tweaks on that guitar.
