Landed yesterday...

This is nothing special, just the new 2016 Les Paul Standard model.

It does not have the auto tuning thingy on the head stock that you either loved or hated.

It plays great and came in "really nice" in the fit & finish department, I am quite pleased with it.

The locking tuners are really nice but "push pull pots" are useless to me though, but I'm sure some might like them :)

Kind of funny but my local GC told me that Gibson asked them to take all of the auto tune models off their floor... they have a bunch of them in the "used" section for sale lol.

I was told Gibson was giving free "normal tuners" to anyone that bought a new 2015 Les Paul at the end of 2015 just to move the inventory.

The 2015 models were some what of a failure for Gibson with the wider brass nut and the corny hand written Les Paul logo thingy on the head stock.

That looks beautiful. I played on at GC last night. Don't know the model but it was $2799 and would not stay in tune.

Sweet guitar , I LMFAO at the math lesson .

The math lesson is both funny and dang gum scary all at the same time...!

Very sweet!...yeah yank out the PCB and push pulls and go standard CTS pots and 50's wiring. What finish is that? Tough to tell, looks like burbon or iced tea

Gibson fucked up in 14 with the 12 fret inlay and in 15 with the robot tuners, zero fret and scribbled second grader LP logo's. So much for listening to your customer base huh? They lost their asses no one bough em and have been downgraded financially.

The went back to normal in 2016 but they still could have reduced the costs.

I've had good luck with Gibson and I'm 3 for 3 in buying them without every playing them firts, 2102 Trad +, 08 BB7 and 09 R7 Goldtop.

Yep they get it right sometimes.

Gibson's credit rating was down graded a couple months ago due to high turn over of executive positions among other things.

IDK how this effects them long term but i'm still a LP junkie.
