NGD Gibson Historic Les Paul Prototype w/ some Bo(g)ners

For those of you who don't rock the Les Paul forums:

Just got the #2 RO Prototype in this morning. Snapped a few pics before heading out for the day. Can't wait to plug her in and see how she compares with the Darkburst.

Can't wait to order my Skatterbrane creams to see how they look and sound. Just need to get to know the guitar a bit better before placing the order. Im probably going to upgrade alot on this guitar if I end up really liking it. We will see how it compares to the GO which is just a slice of heaven still.

The previous owner had no info other then he got it from Sam Ash so Im opening it up tonight to check things out. So far it feels and sounds like my GO with the exception of the neck which feels a bit wider then the RO/GOs ive played.

Finally unlocked the answer on this :

"it's a prototype run of a Limited Edition Black R0s done as a Sam Ash exclusive in 2010.

I seem to remember what I believe to be yours getting there way before the limited run of these were announced for Sam Ash."

So just a color scheme really.

i think that guitar would look badass without the pickgaurd and some black knobs.

also consider some wolfetone marshallheads.

Those pickups are awesome. By far my favorite hot PAF type pickup. and I have tried ALOT!

Thanks guys. They do go well together. I have some black reflector knobs I put on but it didn't quit look right ( i'll post pics of it tomorrow and you'll see what i mean)

Im leaning wolfetones again for this one. He does creams and I do love marshallheads in the bridge. Just not sure about the neck. Im not a pickgaurd off guy unless I it's a really nice flame or has some great mineral streaks.

Cool, I was thinking about some Wolfe's for my G0,,probably some Legends for me though on that one. I put some Zhangbuckers in my R8, GREAT pickups, took a while but GREAT pickups.

I didn't know you were over here too.....saw it this morning on MLP and was gonna congratulate you but got busy and lost the thread....HNGD man. She's sick...for all that the bursts and flames and stuff look great, there's just something about a black LP that kills.
