Got this thing for cheap considering it was only made for 1-2 years at most.

Ahh, the RG517....

Great guitar, and the color is the icing on the cake.

The green always seemed to be more rare than the blue.

I would rock the hell out of that! I love the big flake green too. That would look real nice sitting next to my candy green SoCal with the small metallic flakes. What is the going rate on something like that in today's market? I might have to look out for one.
 
I love sparkle finishes...great score!!! I don't recall this model, when was it out? It looks like my RG570 as far as appointments are concerned.

I'd say they go for about $450-500 when they come up. They're about as rare as the RG-565s. I can't believe I got this one as cheap as I did considering only a few come up for sale a year.

Its an RG517. Everything is the same as a 570 except the finish. These were made in 96-97 and maybe one more year. There was a blue, green, and silver finish.

I have two of the three colors.
