This was hanging out on local Craigslist for a little while and the guy reduced it to a great price, I couldn't pass it up. Very cool guitar, I'm such a sucker for RG's. Plays awesome, fun, dynamic. It feels almost exactly like my PGM301 to be honest.
Love the specs, but I have a drawer full of pickups, so I'll be switching out these stock pickups. Might even play with mods on this baby.

My first guitar was a Cort, my first "real" guitar was an RG440. Takes me back to the day I brought it home.

Anyway, the porn:
NOTE: the guy put green volume/tone knobs as pictured, but I have the original blacks ones as well.

Nice! Currently thinking about the new rG550DX

Awesome!!
I brought one in white back in January. Still love it. That edge trem is great! ! I'm in the fence with the PU'S...Do you think an Evo set would be a good fit? I'm using it for all my classic metal stuff. Great guitar

I will let you know soon, I have it pulled apart right now putting an Evolution set in. It will actually be Evolution Bridge, Bare Knuckle Trilogy (M), Evolution Neck.

I ended up with an Evolution (B), Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound SSL4 (M), and Evolution Neck (N).
The stock V7/V8 were pretty good, but there was some fizzy fuzz stuff going on. I'm sure I could have changed my pedal or amp settings and dialed in a good sound with them, but I also knew none of my other guitar sound that way through the same setup.
The Evo's are a great fit, I think they were pretty much made for a guitar like this. The Evo's just have that edgy punch, love them, one of my favorite pickups ever. The Duncan SSL4 in the middle is a giant leap above the middle pickup that came stock. The SSL4 hangs with the hum buckers and sounds awesome.

They are starting to show up on the used market, some great prices out there.

Awesome! Love these guitars. Nice score man.
Thanks man, I saw your demo with the Peters, wow.

I will own one of those at some point. Been eyeballing them for years and think that I have finally gotten to the point that I need one.

Had an early 2000's RG570 about 10 years ago and put an Evolution into the bridge spot. I agree with some of the earlier posts that it fits very well into those guitars.

Great to know!
Yes, the stock PU'S definitely have a fizzy thing going on that is annoying to dial out. Btw, I also agree on the stock middle pu. It's rather noisy. I'm happy to hear this. Thanks !!!!!
