I scored what I think was a great deal today. I found a Jackson Kelly Pro on Ebay today and noticed it was in the Bay area, which is not far from me. Contacted the seller, they closed the auction, and we met up a little while ago and made the exchange. I paid $650 for it, which included a case.
The talk about these rare "PRO" series guitars is not hype. This Jap Pro is on the same level as far as quality, detail, and feel as their USA select counterparts, either that or this one just happens to be exceptionally good. It has a slim taper neck, thinner than a KE2. Neck thru maple, poplar wings, Schaller JT590 trem, and Jackson J92C/J50 pickups. I am pretty impressed with the J92C, it's a hot one for sure, sounds a lot like a SD Distortion.
Here are a few crappy cell phone pics, I'll get the real camera out and take some pictures tomorrow in the sunlight.
