Recently found a solid deal for a used Jackson RRTMG in silverburst with an SKB V Flight case
Being a big Gibson LP guy or other LP shapes for that matter, I've been a huge fan of the V/Offset V shapes but having an Explorer, I'm growing use to the wonky shapes, so once I seen this, my love for silverburst kicked in and I picked it up.
Never really been a fan of EMG's but I'm thinking I'd be fine playing them in this guitar. I typically run Lace Dissonant Aggressors or Drop and Gains aside from the standard 490R/498T sets in my LP's.
It's bright and snappy yet still has enough low end to thump when chugging. The guitar is super light, very well balanced and really resonant.
Over all, I'm pretty happy with the purchase and I think it's grown on me a lot actually.
Truss rod cover was included - I just had it off adjusting and setting it up.

Cool, congrats. Looks like you got a fun setup to go with it,. What is that neck pickup? Looks like orange lettering?

Very nice, congrats!

Thinking it might be an 89?

Correct - It's an 89 with coil splitting

that is awesome looking. I have 2 rhoads rrmg (one black with pick bevels the other classic RR pinstripe) and as someone who doesn't like EMG's I took them out of the pink one. Ever since I can't get the guitar to sound good at all. It just sounds "dull" now have tried Bill Lawrence xl500 and it still sounds dull..about to put some stainless steel strings on it as that normally works to brighten things up. Given all the trouble I have had with the pink one I have kept the white pinstripe stock with the EMG's .. because it is a great playing guitar an I can live with the emg tone....just

Looks awesome! How's the construction feel. I have looked at a few of these on Reverb and they make my trigger finger itchy

my 2 are great. Both from the same year but have very different necks. My Pinstripe has what I call a classic Charvel neck wide and thin .... while the black/pink has a wide fat neck that has a flat back

EDIT ... actually just realise I have the X series RRXMG so ignore me
