Kiesel Holdsworth HH2

Mahogany chambered body w/ translucent honey burst finish
Mahogany neck w/ 20" radius ebony fingerboard, abalone dots & EVO gold med-jumbo frets
Holdsworth custom humbuckers w/ split switch
Hipshot/Kiesel Tremolo System
Bare neck w/ tung oil finish

So far, this is probably the best set up & playing guitar I've ever bought.
It plays itself & the 20" radius in my new favorite.
I put my Carvin/Kiesel guitars up next to my Suhr & Andersons & they're just as good for a lot less in price.

Nice!
I love my AM7. I want another Kiesel ...

Nice! I played an Ares 6 and Osiris and the KSR booth at NAMM. Both played and sounded excellent.

"they're sonically dead sounding" - some guy

Meanwhile... My family complain that my unplugged playing on my Vader VM7 is too load and it woke them up this morning.

P.S. I was in another room... with the door closed.

Someone said Carvin/Kiesel stuff are dead sounding?

I have 4 & they all sound & play amazingly well.

I always set myself up for disappointment before they arrive, since they're so inexpensive & I have a more expensive = better mentality, but they're as good as any guitar I've ever played.

I think I'm ordering a Jason Becker next time.

I played a Becker in the Kiesel showroom. It was a superior axe.

Yep. Someone on this forum. :D
I have 2 Kiesels and plan to get a 3rd. None of them are dead sounding.

The Becker numbers guitar by Kiesel is a totally cool looking guitar. I wonder if they make them without the numbers or not.

Man they had one at the GC by me for like $900 used in mint condition. I should have grabbed it. I played it here with a BE-100, which was also the day I decided the BE was bast evar!

I have a ST300 and a hardtail Bolt . Both play and sound great . I really like the C22B bridge pick up in the ST300 .

Also congrats to the OP on the new guitar . How do you like the trem on that guitar .

They forgot to put on a headstock? Bad QC if you ask me....

I like the trem, but I wish they had the Stienberger trans-trem instead. I have one on my Stienberger & they're so awesome.

Imo the kiesel hipshot design trem bar inserted is too high... i have a kiesel vader its like lack of bass and lowend as some may describe... perhaps due to chambering and finished body and neck makes it feel "plastic"... i played my other friends kiesel vader which is satin raw unchambered it feels alot better like a woody guitar and sounds better...

Its nonetheless an easy playing guitar where you can dwell on legato licks for days ! Thats what its still with me... kiesel ? Kinda love and hate it situation for me... sorry guys but its not a toneless guitar in my opinion...

Perhaps the light weight makes you think it feels plasticy?

I have several chambered strats that are super light that feel toy & plastic like due to the weight, but they sound great.

Chambered guitars usually have more bass & low end thud imo as well, so who knows.

Dont think its because of the chambering... i also tried a stramdberg OS which i guess its much much lighter than my Kiesel chambered vader and the strandberg plays woody and has good tone...

No idea what kinda finishes did Kiesel uses or perhaps their wood used thats process in a different way ? But again their satin raw vader feels and tones out much better...
