in the past, i had a couple kenai and a doug e rapps, but flipped them away pretty quick. i didnt like that bridge. well, the steckel doesnt have that bridge, has a thicker body and a killer neck. i am usually not into relic'd guitars but this one is tastefully done. it also has the duncan candy pickups. i guess steckel had a 1960 les paul from a collector, and he loved everything about it, and seymour duncan made replicas of the 1960 les paul PAF's. anyhow, it will stay with me for a while, even though i almost exclusively play super strats these days. this guitar looked cool, and i had to try it. i think this guitar looks pretty bitchin.

here is a link to original reverb post, you can see the relic job on the back of the guitar a little. in light you can see it better

Nice one! I love the Steve Stevens model. ((SS2's))

The SSC is ok but a bit more stripped down.

Great guitars in my book.

Congrats!

That looks fantastic... honestly can't tell it's relic'ed in the pics

follow link, in pic of rear of guitar you can see a little. but in person you can see the relicing on front as well.

Had a Kenai that was really lacking bite and punch ala Les Laul. Always wondered if it was that weird bridge design causing the smoother tone

i think it is. i had a couple kenai and they were much different in sound to this steckel. i think its that bridge. the steckel has thicker tone, with more bite, and remains defined. also, very punchy!

That bridge is ugly AF too. I’m surprised they use that thing. Beautiful guitar BTW. ??

yeah, give me a couple days.

after playing it for a few more days, its definitely much better with this bridge than the usual kenai bridge. its tighter, thicker and more open sounding, much, much better. high performance singlecut, for sure.

great guitar, watch steckel unload

Great looking guitar.

I usually don't like the looks od knaggs guitars. Weird painting jobs at times. And simply can't get into Steckel

Should note I've had a Chena and it was awesome.

This guitar is a fucking stunner!

agreed, very tastefully done. i think knaggs does go a bit over overboard at times with their guitars. i have seen a couple that were nothing short of atrocious, although i think they were custom orders.

Hows the neck carve in comparison to your other Knaggs experience?

Awesome, congrats!! Looks killer, how does the neck feel anything to compare the neck to?

much better than the others, back of neck is slicker, fretboard feels flatter, and comfortable. ive noticed some steckels have different specs. i fought the kenai compared to how this plays. not quite super strat levels obviously, but close. i had no intention getting a singlecut, but the trade offer was too much to pass, really wanted to try knaggs with this bridge. night and day difference.

i dig it a lot, but i might have to post for trade soon because i love super strats the most and dont have one now. i have another guitar, an eggle oz, and will try and trade that first, if i could get a killer super strat for that, i would love to keep this.

this wildly outplays any les paul i have owned, and i have have owned many. its just a really comfortable, slick and little effort required to play neck, string tension feels less than most guitars, bends and vibrato require little effort, etc.

check this demo, the tone is clear and defined.
