So, after playing this guitar for a few weeks, I’ve got to say it’s a big winner. It plays soooo nice. It’s bordering on super Strat levels of effortless, but with singlecut tones that are punchy, yet well defined, and thick yet articulate. Just a killer guitar. I wanted to try a Knaggs singlecut without their bridge. They sounded thin and tinny to me, and played ok. I had a couple Kenai and a Doug Rappaport. All three were kind of the same, and I assume that a lot has to do with that bridge. This Steckel SLAYS all of them.
I figured I would keep it for a week or two and then trade or sell it for a super Strat. I can’t part with it yet. Too much fun. Although, I don’t like not having an effortless playing super Strat, this soothes the pain and withdrawal. Knaggs and Steckel hit it out of the park with this guitar. And, it looks super Bitchin also!
