A little extended range goodness as a change of pace

The monster is complete and has come home! My KxK Sii-8 is done!!!

28" scale
27 frets
Blank ebony board
Mahogany neck through
Mahogany body wings
Hipshot custom purple anodized aluminum bridge
Custom purple anodized aluminum knob and switch tip
Purple Sperzel tuners
BKP Rebel Yell bridge / VHII neck
Active covers painted to match the body
Purple pearl paint

The upper fret access on this is completely insane, it's a 27 fret eight string and you can literally hit every fret on every string without ever brushing the body

Excuse any dust in the pics, it's that time of year when leaves and dust are everywhere and it was windy so as soon as I'd wipe it something else would blow onto it lol

dope guitar

I myself have no idea what i'd do with all those frets and strings

Maybe someday haha, for now it seems like even 6 and 24 are too much

Wow. I will echo sentiments that that thing is insane. But in all seriousness....where the fuck do you find purple pickups, purple tuners, purple switches, purple bridges, etc?

That neck looks like butter for a wide, 8-string neck. I bet it plays awesome.

Nice axe.

Hipshot made the aluminum bridge and saddles for me, the aluminum knob and switch tip were made by http://www.armadilloguitar.com/. The aluminum parts were then anodized by the company that does Sperzel's tuners so everything matched in color.

The pickups are BKPs with active covers over them painted to match the body. The covers come in various sizes and are available from these guys http://www.guitarjonesusa.com/catalog/store.php. The guitar was a prototype so it already had the actives routes.

Here's pics of the BKPs mounted in the covers before they were painted
