I've been looking for a Tele style guitar for a while. The other band that I've been playing in lends more to the tele vibe and sound. I've always gravitated toward super strats, especially my Washburn Davies N4s with the Stephen's extended cutaway. I learned a while ago that Stephen Davies used to make his own line of Fender style guitars with this cutaway. I also love natural finishes and always hoped I could find a Tele style Stephen Davies in a natural finish. For me it would be the perfect tele (especially since the name "Stephen" is in large print on the headstock, which is my first name  ) So a few weeks ago one came up on eBay and I grabbed it. Commence the git porn!

Thanks! Only problem I can tell so far is that the damn thing is a beast! Weighing in around 10 lbs! I'm taking it downtown to Philtone Tuesday to have a few minor things adjusted, including a PLEK. I have Phil PLEK all my guitars. I feel fortunate that someone of his caliber is so close.

I usually have a few other small things done also but I always tend to leave there paying anywhere between $180-$200. Here's his website: http://www.philtone.com/index.html

Thanks

Was playing it today and found that the nut is loose. Nothing Phil can't handle. Still haven't found any major problems with it yet. Neck does have way too much relief though.

Wow, the grain on that thing is beautiful! Huge congrats on the NGD!

Nice man....that Stephens cutaway is so awesome. The N4 has the best neck access ever!!

Thanks guys. I can't believe that other manufacturers don't use the Stephen's Extended Cutaway more often.

Very cool guitar and unique bolt-on design. I've wanted a nice Tele for a while too.
