Pretty basic super tele, I pieced together. Kramer neck I got from sah5150 several years ago recentrly re-fretted with jumbo's - I love this neck! Got the body from KNE, All Parts Floyd and a Duncan Custom I got from Chubtone. Nothing fancy but I sure like it - excellent backup to my #1, which looks pretty much identical lol.

Two nice things that I'm not sure fit together
I'm always thinking about getting a "hot rodded" Tele, but don't like the Tele headstock, but find no other headstock fits that body, so I'm just never getting a Tele
Nice work nonetheless, what's the finish on the body?

I just put some coats of tung oil on the body.

Color looks like mahogany but the grain seems more like alder
Don't tell me it's basswood

It's an alder body - I just stick with alder becuase it seems every alder body I get sounds good.

I see what you did there, and I like it.

haha yeah, it's actually a tribute body that KNE does called GGG. I assume that stands for Girls Girls Girls

I had a Warmoth body/ neck like that, with reverse headstock. Was awesome looking, played good, too.

And here I thought I was channeling Mick with my new Warlock...

Looks great Darren! I'm sure it will sound great through your new DIY combo.

Have any of you guys seen the prices on some of the squire affinity and other budget strats? I'm starting to think new pups, neck, maybe a trem and you are still well into budget country. Will warmoth necks fit squire bodies?

I just ordered a Squier Vintage Modified 70's Strat yesterday (as you can see, I follow my own advices ;) ) because I wanted a vintage white / creme body. Warmoth necks do fit Squier bodies (or else I'm fucked   )

His chrome one used to be my be all end all guitar when I was a kid . I would still snag one if I ever had the chance

Really like that. Nice guitar.

I wonder were his Kramers teles ever production models?

Do you prefer the tele body shape to the strat body when using a Floyd and hb pickups?

That's not a tele. ;)

Nice partsocaster Darren. Let's hear it.

I have a Warlock too - one of my favorite guitars

yup, me and strats just don't get along. It's the placement of the neck in contrast to the body - all the frets just seem too much to the right - anything above the 12th fret just doesn't feel comfortable on a strat to me. Tele's and and Les Paul with no arch top work great for me.

oh now, I said "super" tele. Surely you can give me that it's a "super" tele

I thought I used to see ads in some U.S. guitar magazines back in the day, but it doesn't seem like you see them pop up used anywhere.
