Nicely done! Like it a lot!!!! Love the fat headstock look!

I have 2 Custom shop strats that just came in for me. Both are getting Floyds next week. I could care less what people think, I bought these guitars for the necks and being roasted and flamed, they are amazing!

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with the end results as well!

Sounds great, will you make a thread about them when they are ready?

Also, i don't understand the kind of taboo status of installing floyds on strats. Actually i noticed that the Gotoh Floyd increased the sustain of my guitar and it still has the strat sound all the way!

Nice! I have thought of doing the same.

Did you route for the floyd or have it done?

I hade it done by a tech, and can't recommend doing this to a strat enough! Way happier with it now!

so all you kept from the original fender was the body? seems like a bit of a waste would it not have been better just to buy another body and put that together? then you would have ended up with 2 guitars instead of 1 still ;)

I am under the impression he kept the neck and body.

Well i ordered the new neck originally because i didn't like the original neck's profile and fretboard radius.

Is the floyd recessed?
Yes it is recessed, wasn't too fond of the idea to insert shims under the neck to change the angle. :D

time for a new body and some neck shaping then? .. changing the shape of the back of the neck can work wonders. Let faces it 2 guitars are always better than 1

Reshaping the profile and changing the radius costs like hell in Finland. It is cheaper to just get a new neck altogether.

I once reshaped the back of the neck with a belt sander and 80 grit. Lol.

Pull the frets out, get a single radius block re radii the neck and put some new frets in. Lol.

Its doable.

Dude i have ADHD, there's no way that i'll ever be able to do luthier work myself.

Pretty nice man!

Good job

I also have a MIM Strat that's been upgraded but nothing like what you've done. I also have a Duncan Distortion. Here's mine.
