Today I put the finishing touches on a rig I've been putting together over the last week or so. It is centered around an Axe Fx 2 unit...I finally took the plunge/joined the Dark Side/What have you. So far I am beyond happy with this unit. Tomorrow will be my first gig with it, so that will be a new adventure no doubt. Anyways...I'm running this rig direct to the FOH. The AxeFx is also feeding my in ear unit and is being controlled by a MFC-101 board via a CAT5 cable. After continuously bringing tons of gear (heads, cabs, elaborate pedal boards) to gigs, it will be quite nice to only have one load to bring from the car. The rack is a 4 space Road Runner rolling rack bag. I'm honestly not too happy with the quality, but for the price and ease of rolling I couldn't beat it. The MFC-101 can fit in my dual guitar gig bag, so everything will be super easy to transport. :)

Sorry for the rundown...I'm just pretty excited with this rig right now. No GAS for the first time in a long time. Check back next week and we'll see if that's still the case, lol.

Rack
Furman Power Conditioner
Axe FX 2
Shure PSM 600 In Ears / Line 6 G50 Wireless. (Both attached to a SHURE rack tray)

Oooo, nice guitar! How do you like it, been thinking about picking one up!

Absolutely love it. I'm not typically a "signature model" type of guy, but this guitar just feels and plays exactly like I want/need for my current gig...plus it looks cool and wacky with the body shape. The brazilian rosewood neck is beautiful and fast. Neck profile is quite comfortable as well. Sonically it sits somewhere between a Les Paul and a Tele, but with less output as a Paul. I'm not completely sold on the stock Dimarzios, but I don't really know what I would put in there otherwise.

I highly recommend one. I've contemplated getting a second actually, except with the trem bar.

You must have the neatest living room on Rig Talk, except for the flip flops.

I played an EBMM Albert Lee guitar with 3 p90's in it and it played great! It played so nice and the pickups were just awesome. I know the one pictured has humbuckers, but since the P90 version was so good, I can only expect they know what they were doing with those models and they all rock. The model I played was this http://www.music-man.com/instruments/guitars/albert-lee.html

That's hilarious. He tells us all about his new Axe II rig and, the whole time, we're both thinking "ooh, nice Music Man!"....

So, one week with it and you are comfortable enough to go out and gig with it? Interesting.....as, that would terrify me. Guess that's my own phobia to get over. I still have trouble with the satellite TV remote. Let us know how it goes.

Haha! Yeah...I'm only using one patch for the gig tomorrow, so there isn't too much to f*ck up just yet. Fingers crossed!

I am a bit OCD about my apartment. I actually cleaned my coffee table off before I took the pic...didn't want to offend any of the others on here   .

Flip flops are now put up!
