Nice looking guitar! What year is that? I notice it's a rotary 5 way switch. I've got both the rotary and a linear 5 way and don't notice the rotary being any more difficult to manipulate.

I'm not even sure. I haven't looked it up yet. My CE24 has the 5 way rotary switch also. I know a lot of people complain about it but it never bothers me personally.
My CE24 has the rotary switch and I'm not a huge fan. I've mulled over swapping to something like the freeway switch, but just haven't got around to it. I guess that means the rotary isn't a big deal.
I think they call it the "regular pattern". I've always been more of a Gibson guy, so I would put it somewhere between a 50's and 60's Gibson neck. It is a little thicker than my CE24's wide-thin, but not too thick.
It sounds a little thicker, but pickups in the CE are maybe a tad hotter. The neck on the custom is a little thicker. Not sure yet how I feel about the non-adjustable bridge. I know that can be changed but the adjustable ones are pretty pricey. We'll see how I feel after some good play time.
Full review coming soon... I'm so busy with work I haven't had a lot of playing time yet. Hopefully this weekend.
Looks like a mid-90s guitar to me. The uncovered coils, 5 way rotary and phase one tuners make me think it's probably a 94-95-96-97 model. On the back of the headstock, what's the first digit that stands alone? IE: X XXXXX PRS Serial numbers have a year prefix, then a few digits that indicate build number and various other things.
