I pickedup a US hand made PRS style guitar. (approx 15 years old) that was built for and played by Jeff Summers(Rubicon) for many years. It's definitely road worn and has had some poor quality work done on it, even so still sounds and plays amazing! Dropped it off to have it repaired correctly, got it back today, everything has been fixed, and it plays amazing!

There were only a couple of this style, because the builder didn't really like the neck pocket. And that's out of maybe 40 electrics total anyway.

Bookend matched Swamp Ash body arched body
Quilted Arched Maple Top
Faux Maple binding on the body
Double binding on neck/headstock, primarily quilted maple, then a tiny strip of black stained maple beneath all hand cut
Stained black maple veneers on front and back of headstock
Seymour Duncan 59' pickups
Gotoh tuners(chrome)
Mother Of Pearl dot Inlays, and logos
Jumbo frets(very rare because Gary hates the work involved installing them)
Quarter Sawn Mahogany neck with volute, all hand carved from a block of mahogany
Ebony fretboard
Bone nut

youre having a good week of guitars!

Yes sir, I am on the hunt! I'm ditching my lower quality guitars, and getting stuff that I've always wanted instead. I'm tired of always looking for the same guitars and never getting them, meanwhile I have at least 10 guitars that I never really wanted, but got anyway lol. Still have a ways to go unfortunately, which means several thousand dollars. At the end of the day that I get all of these guitars though I will not have to search eBay/craigslist/reverb non stop to find the guitars I want anymore, so it will be a wonderful day.

That looks dang sexy!

Don't let the sexy looks fool you, with that 59' in the bridge combined with the ash body this thing is gonna slay some bodies for sure! Those jumbo frets really make the playing easy and precise. Can't wait to get it back in my hands once it's all squared away.

Video added, so you can check out the details on this guitar! It's about 15 years old and has been on tour, so it's a bit road worn, but still sounds and plays amazing

Very nice. There is just something about a hand crafted guitar that can be special.

I saw a Garcia on Craigslist San Fran Bay Area about 2 years ago. I remember it looked great for what they were asking. It was $800, and I had never heard of a Garcia before . I remember wondering about it because it seemed like a lot of guitar for the cash.

congrats! Nice guitar! You should make a video of the tones of that thing!
