So, Ive been GASing for a PRS singlecut for a while now to go along with my Custom 22. I found this one online last week and it arrived today. Its a 2010 Tremonti 10 top quilt in Charcoal Burst. I had never played a USA Tremonti before today and now I understand why guys love these guitars so much. Holy crap this thing rocks! Im also digging the stock pups as well, but I may end up taking the cover off of the neck pickup. Ive never been much of a trem player, but Im looking forward to learning and getting more comfortable with the trem.

Something else that's interesting to me. My Custom 22 has the wide thin neck carve which supposedly is the same as the Tremonti. However, the Tremonti neck profile seems a bit thinner to me. Not in a bad way or anything, just interesting that the two necks feel slightly different even though they have the same profile.

Below are a couple of pics from the unboxing as well as some of the stock pics from Dave's Guitar shop.

The neck profile may actually be the Tremonti Profile. When they first released the Tremonti II's they were offered with Marks actual neck profile as opposed to the Wide Thin / Wide Fat stuff PRS was offering at the time.

Not sure what year they discontinued it and are now going with the Pattern Thin stuff...but it was probably after 2010. I had 2 2007 models and an 08 and they all had the true Tremonti profile. That being said...all three guitars still had slight differences with one neck that was noticeably thinner. That particular guitar was the nicest guitar (top/color) I've ever owned but it didn't sound as good or play as good as the one I still own.

Still have my favorite Tremonti II...it's an awesome guitar. And I'll probably buy another. In fact some guy (can't remember the name) was selling my old Platinum one on here awhile back and I nearly bought it back. That particular guitar played fantastic...really didn't want to sell that one at the time.

Looks cool, i always loved that color. They are really nice guitars.

It's a beauty! I miss mine desperately but I'm sure I will end up with another soon.

Thanks guys.... Im really, really, really digging this guitar. This guitar flat out rocks. For anyone considering a USA Tremonti, go for it! You wont be disappointed.

i have owned 8 PRS guitars and the Tremonti was the best of them all, heavy, but thich and meaty sounding and really good fun to play
