NGD! Schecter KM-7 and Helix Floor

Got the KM-7 last week actually but never got around to doing a NGD for it. Also, today I just took ownership of the Helix Floor. YES... I have the LT also. While the LT is fantastic, I kept finding myself eyeballing the Floor and Rack w/controller even though I had no real need for either.

Any who, here's some pics.

I am going to revisit my "Idiots Guide to Helix" series I started when I first got the LT. Going to try and do all content ON THE UNIT instead of using the software and also taking the approach that the viewer has never used a modeler before. The KM-7, I gotta say, is really solid. The neck is huge and the 26.5" scale seems odd on day 1 but honestly it is the first 7-string that I don;t feel confused playing. Going to do a full review vid of it this weekend. I actually really dig the Nazrul/Sentient set and the hum buckers split really well. A couple little issues not disclosed from the seller on Reverb but we got it sorted.

Dude this guitar is so damn fun to play. I have some sweet Hypocrisy type riffs I am working on for a Quilter demo. Quilter amps... NOT what first comes to mind when talking Death Metal! LOL!

Damn that's a great setup. I really like that guitar. The Helix is growing on me. A guy I know whose band is going on tour recorded almost an entire album with the Helix. I've heard a couple of his demo songs and it sounds great. That's something else man, congratulations.

Thanks man! I swore up and down at Helix's launch Line 6 would never get a cent from me. Was in Kemper heaven and didn't like any clips I was hearing from Helix in the mid to higher gain sounds. Then FW2.0 hit a while back and all of a sudden stuff started sounding really good.

They are really making the updates great and are about to drop 7 new amps (4 distinct new amps and all 3 channels of one more) and 7 new effects.

Have you tried the Helix Native plugin? Looks pretty cool, I may pick it up if it ever goes on sale.

I am downloading the demo now actually. Going to get the 15 days free before buying but I AM buying it. I like the Helix tones for sure and I am reading guys on systems similar to mine running up to 15 complex instances of it at a time. For $99 (as I own the Floor) it seems like a no-brainer. I am betting there will be some Black Friday deals to be had.

I am holding out for BF to grab Superior 3 upgrade from Superior 2.

Ooooohhh! Been looking hard at some of the Quilter stuff recently. I'm anticipating your demo.

Trying to get the drums finished for the riffs I put together. Doing a full play through of the OD200, the death metal full mix (no vocals) and a hard rock full mix (Queensryche w/vocals)

I'll post on R-T when they are done.
