I've been having a bit of weird GAS for a red RG-ish guitar lately, then noticed this one up for grabs here: 2008 Ibanez RGT320Z neck through w/mahogany body and Edge Zero trem, and DiMarzio CL/LF pups already installed. I've only had it a couple hours but it's very comfortable and I really like the upper fret access of the neck-through construction. The neck is a flat-D shape more like on the Sterling JP100, which I can live with even though I prefer a more rounded shape. Not super heavy for a mahogany body either which is nice. I haven't plugged it in for very long yet so no comment so far on its sound. Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Thanks guys. I'll have to update photos later to better show off the quilt, though I admit it's cooler in person but still on the subtle side.

I made a few adjustments more to my preferences (bridge height, relief), flipped the bridge pup back around, sounds more to my liking now. Crunch Lab bar to the bridge was just too twangy for me, sounds fuller with it towards the neck. The DiMarzio strap hangs too low even when fully shortened so that's next on the to-do list.

Finished 5-pc maple/wenge neck should stay pretty true. Winter is coming so I'll definitely appreciate that in the drier months.

Ibanez RGs are really great guitars. Switched from Suhr to Ibanez, as I just couldn't justify spending so much money on a guitar (and I hate lying to my girlfriend when she asks how much they costed :D). The playability is really awesome, I don't regret the switch.

Thanks all!

I'm pretty impressed with this Prestige RGT so far, just a well built instrument. Back when the RGTs were new in 2008 they cost about as much as J-Custom did back then, and with that quilt maple top it might as well be a J-Custom for all intents and purposes, so I'm pretty happy to have my hands on one. Now if I can only find some time to play...

Ah yes, and I have a DiMarzio AT-1 in the pipes, I'm partialled to my A5 magnets I guess.
