Just arrived yesterday courtesy of a TGP member.

What a guitar!

Very balanced sounding overall with killer sustain. Fit and finish are impeccable. The custom wound Bareknuckles are clear, warm, and super articulate. Perfect match for the guitar- for once I'm not gonna change anything except for the strings!

I'm really looking forward to gigging with this beast.

Yup, it was for sale for 4 years on TGP. I could never figure out why it sat for so long. Bad ass guitars. When I tried a Knaggs with Les Paul style bridge I was amazed. I had played a few Kenai with the Knaggs bridge and didn’t like them. But when I tried the steckel and stevens I loved them.

Dunno how long it was for sale (ad was from Jan 2023) but it’s amazing. Folks were missing out on a deal.

Agreed on the difference compared to a regular Kenai. Acoustically the SSC is bigger and meatier sounding. The Steckel was too. Could be the extra body thickness and bigger neck in addition to the bridge,

Stunning looking guitar, congrats. I like the fretboard inlays. Very reminiscent of the original Gene Baker guitars

That is drop dead gorgeous! How does it sound and play compared to a LP?

It’s very much in the LP camp, but compared to my Traditional it’s more balanced sounding and clear. The SSC just sounds huge. More ergonomic than a LP for sure, especially in the upper frets.

Overall I’d say it’s an idealized LP.

Is the SS slimmer in the waist than the Skekel or does it just appear to be?

Mine has the Saturday Night Specials
How do you like them? Have you ever tried the candys? In my steckel the candy pickups were amazing. Just great for high gain and cleans. I like the steckel better than the stevens, but the stevens is a very close second. I don’t like the stevens logo on my headstock. It’s a great guitar though, plays great and sounds fantastic. The stevens bare knuckles are cool, I like them a lot better than the rebel yells.

To the OP, you will like the guitar more and more, amazingly it grows on you and only gets better. Knaggs builds a killer singlecut.
