All most impossible to find these out there untouched and dead spanking NOS/mint condition.

Drop dead and uber spanky wanky mint with plastic still on the pickgard on the gold one...

The USA Charvel So-Cal is by far my favorite guitar hands down and the USA Pro-mods are untouchable IMO for the price range.

I prefer these over the later Japan and new Mexico models IMO..

I have had a Pagen Gold USA Pro-Mod So-Cal for three years now and it had remained my goto favorite when I fire-up my amps.

"Fiending Yippie" from the forum here       was in Nashville last week and came over to hang for a bit and and got play that axe too through my Friedman rig.

I ran across these and had to pull the trigger fast due to the untouched/unmolested condition of them.

I got a pair of zebra duncans that are going in the Candy Green so-cal that will look and sound smoking!

The candy green is my fave color in these. Congrats!

I have a green USA and a white MIJ and they're both great. I love the Tangerine!

Pagan Gold is epic...don't even remember the Green color but that's nice too.

Always wanted a Candy Plum and Tangerine as well.

Rock on! \m/

Hey how is the Helios treating you? I'm kind of missing mine... lol.

Great guitars ,great find. Where did you find them in such pristine condition?

Ummm... just fiending around the web with google, forums, etc. can yield some decent results!

You just gotta get into the "fiend zone" of no return...

I think they stopped making these in 2008? or 2009? possibly...

Oh I have done my share of fiending, just not recently. :)
There is a Pagan Gold So-Cal that is mint for $700 in my area. It's very tempting.

I disagree about the MIJ ones, they have better fret work ;)

I am a die hard gear junkie always looking for any excuse under the sun to buy something...

That said, non of the Japan pro-mods I have ever played have never made me think about buying one.

The USA prod-mods have always just felt more deluxe in my hands overall and I have had owned about seven of them with 3-4 of them being just beyond amazing.

I had this usa pro mod with flames on it that I should have just kept, it was sick as shit playing and feeling... dont know when it was made though.

A friend of mine has a black san dimas USA pro-mod one he bought used in Miami not long after they came out and that guitar just owns.

After playing it I snapped and it was the one that got me started going nutz on these guitars back then.

Another dude I know who is a manager of a sam ash store has a slime green USA pro-mod san dimas that is just incredible too. played like butter and just sounded amazing.

As a matter of fact before playing these USA pro-mods back then i was never the biggest fan of the Duncan JB at all... Now it's my goto for everything.

The Japan ones had a this rolled edge thing going on with the fret board I thought was fruity and made the guitar feel cheaper to me.

Like all guitars I'm sure the there are some USA ones that came out much better overall than others.

My favorite Pagan Gold so-cal that I have had for three years is the shizzz...I break that thing out daily and and rip it up and and beat on it like it owes me money and it just keeps coming back for more...! I don't think i have ever loved a $1000 guitar as much...

Very nice! Charvels are usually very good. I grabbed a Black MIJ pro mod that plays almost as good as the Custom shop I have. Must have gotten a good one.....

I own a few of each and my MIJ all have the better fret work,as for "feel" the USA made ones come out on top for me.
My all time favorite other than a original 81 san dimas is the custom shop charvels.
the pro mods cannot compete with either of those but are great for the $700 they can be bought for.

yes i have a snow white so cal like that,(a real good one) it rivals my CS in a some ways.(tone, feel)
pretty crazy since i got it for $600 with case and my CS cost me $2600
the pro mods are the best bang for the buck guitar under a grand not real sure about the MIM ones,i have no interest in those(recessed floyd route just ruins it for me)the tone is always thinner?

Every charvel dealer in the world is stuck with recessed Floyd models...
